Hydroxycut History
Hydroxycut has experienced its ups and downs throughout the years. The brand was created by Iovate Health Sciences during the Ephedra craze of the late 90’s and early 2000’s. Yielding superb weight loss results, Hydroxycut quickly became one of the most popular products on the market. But in 2005 the FDA banned Ephedra, leaving several diet pill companies scrambling to survive.
Refusing to go the way of the dodo, Hydroxycut began making reformulations. Soon they were pushing out new products and supplements that were aimed at appetite suppression as well as fat burning. For the next few years, they back on their feet and continued to remain one of the world’s premier supplement brands.
But another road bump came in a few years later. In May of 2009, the Food and Drug Administration issued a warning to consumers to stop using Hyrdoxycut products in response to several reports of liver damage and even one fatality. A few months later, 16 lawsuits were filed against Hydroxycut. Under the pressure of the FDA, the bad publicity, and the hefty court fees, the company could have folded, but they persevered.
Today, Hydroxycut is back and they are alive and kicking. After another round of reformulations, they have returned to the supplement market place and are again experiencing incredible success with their customers. Having paid their dues and learned from their mistakes, Hydroxycut is now offering some of the safest yet effective weight loss supplements on the market.
